Access Services field service engineers bring to bear unsurpassed levels of knowledge and capability. They have, on average, more than 15 years of experience with a wide variety of scanners and imaging equipment and are constantly being certified in the latest technologies.

Gary Desmarais

Mr. Desmarais has headed Access Services since 2006. He has over 25 years experience in the scanner business and started with Scan-Optics as a system test technician. His current responsibilities cover the direction of the Engineering group, which includes the disciplines of Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering and research into advanced technologies for scanning, lighting, optics, and paper control. He holds an associate degree in electrical engineering and has additional training in the quality discipline.

Ms. Korchari has been with Scan-Optics and Access Services since 1998. She is, for many customers, the voice of Access Services, as she is the person they talk to when they call about their service agreements. "There are customers whose voice I recognize when they call once a year," she says, primarily because they have been calling for so many years to renew their contracts. Ms. Korchari is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.

All told, he has over 31 years experience in the scanner business, and his current responsibilities, as a Customer Support Specialist, include technical support on various product lines, installation of equipment, performing upgrades to equipment (hardware and software), and training technicians on various equipment types.

Randy started with Scan-Optics in 1979 and managed the purchase and transfer of Access Services to Scan-Optics in 1998. This included establishing a dispatch group, transitioning technicians from Access to Scan-Optics and coordinating efforts of all the service vendors. All told, he has over 31 years experience in the scanner business, and his current responsibilities, as a Manager of Field Operations, include coordinating programs with vendors and technicians, managing field performance of employees and contractors, including technical support on various product lines, installation of equipment, performing upgrades to equipment (hardware and software), and training technicians on various equipment types. Randy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. Joseph's College.
